There were a group of soldiers in World War II who got stuck behind enemy lines. They were low on food, tired, and really discouraged. One night, as they were huddled together to pray, they heard a noise outside. At first, they were on edge—but then they saw him: a local farmer, carrying food and water.

Turns out, he had been quietly watching them for days. He knew they were struggling. And even before they asked for help, he stepped in.

That one act didn’t just meet their physical needs—it gave them hope. It reminded them they weren’t forgotten.

This reminds me of an encouraging verse from the Gospel of Matthew: “Your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him.”

Welcome to Daily Devotions for Busy Lives. I’m Bart Leger, and today, I want to remind you of something powerful: Before you ever whisper a prayer… God already knows. And that truth can bring real hope to your heart.

Matthew 6:8 says:

“Your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!”

There’s something deeply comforting about that verse. It tells us we’re not forgotten. We’re not waiting in a long line for God’s attention.

We have a Father who sees our lives in full—our struggles, our fears, the things we haven’t even put into words yet. And before we even ask, He’s already moving.

I’ve had times when I didn’t know what to pray. The words wouldn’t come. But the hope I held onto was this: God already knows. And He cares.

He’s not waiting for perfect prayers—He’s offering the hope that comes from belonging to a loving Father.

And that hope? It’s not based on how strong my faith is that day… it’s based on how steady His love is every day.

So if your heart feels tired today—rest in this: Your Father sees you. He knows what you need. And He’s not late.

Father, thank You for knowing my needs before I speak a word. Thank You for being near, for caring, and for always watching over me. Fill my heart with hope today as I trust in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Thanks for joining me today on Daily Devotions for Busy Lives. Remember—your Father already knows what you need, and He’s working with love and care. Come back next time for more encouragement to help you live grounded in God’s truth. God bless, and have a great day!
