Keep Showing Up

Keep Showing Up

When life feels repetitive and unrewarding, it’s tempting to quit. Today’s devotion reminds you—and reassures you—that God honors those who keep showing up, even when it’s hard.

Have you ever wondered if all your quiet efforts are really making a difference?

I’ve been there. I’ve felt the silence, the slow progress, the unseen labor. But Galatians 6:9 reminds us: if we don’t give up, there will be a harvest. Faithfulness might not be flashy—but it’s never wasted.

BY THE TIME YOU FINISH LISTENING, YOU’LL DISCOVER:

  • Why showing up matters even when you don’t see immediate results
  • What Scripture promises to those who keep doing good
  • One simple, powerful prayer to stay encouraged in your calling

You may feel unseen, but your faithfulness is known in heaven.

If today’s devotion encouraged you, share it with a friend who might need a reminder to keep going.

And if you’d like to help keep these devotions coming, consider becoming a monthly supporter.

There are days when it feels like what you’re doing doesn’t matter. You show up for work, for your family, for your church—but there’s no applause. No big breakthrough. Just another quiet act of obedience that nobody sees… or so it seems.

This is Daily Devotions for Busy Lives, and I’m Bart Leger. If you’re feeling like your efforts don’t count, I just want to say—I’ve been there. I’ve had weeks where I kept pouring out, wondering if anything was really changing. But there’s something powerful about just showing up, even when it’s hard.

Galatians 6:9 speaks directly to that tension:

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

You may not see the harvest yet—but that doesn’t mean it’s not coming.

There’ve been seasons in my life when my soul felt dry. Ministry felt like a grind. It felt like my prayers didn’t go any higher than the ceiling. Results felt small. And everything in me wanted to say, “What’s the point?”

But Galatians 6:9 reminds us—faithfulness is the point.

God doesn’t ask us to be spectacular. He asks us to be faithful. To keep sowing seeds. To keep doing good. To keep loving, serving, showing up—even when it feels small or slow.

And He promises that in His time—not ours—there will be a harvest.

You may not be able to see it yet, but every unseen act of faithfulness matters. It’s seen. It’s noticed. And it’s never wasted.

So here’s your encouragement today: Keep showing up. Keep loving. Keep trusting. Even when it feels like nothing’s happening—God is still working beneath the surface.

Lord, some days feel long, and the fruit feels far away. But I choose to trust You. Help me keep going, not for applause, but out of obedience. I believe the harvest will come. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
