You’re not holding your faith together alone; Jesus is praying for you right now. In this episode, discover how His intercession gives strength when yours runs out.

Have you ever felt like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling?

Maybe you’ve tried to stay faithful, but your strength is gone, and your heart feels far from God. Here’s the truth: even when you can’t find the words, Jesus is praying for you.

In today’s devotion, you’ll hear the story behind Robert Murray M’Cheyne’s powerful quote about hearing Christ pray in the next room, and what Scripture says about the Savior who actually does. When your faith feels fragile, remember: your confidence isn’t in how tightly you hold to Him, but in how firmly He’s holding on to you.

Main Scriptures:

Luke 22:32 – “But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail.”

Romans 8:34 – “Christ Jesus… is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.”

By the end of this episode, you’ll discover:

  • Why Jesus’ prayers never fail, even when ours do
  • How His intercession keeps your faith from collapsing
  • The hope that comes from knowing you are never forgotten before God

Today’s Challenge:

Take one quiet minute and thank Jesus for praying for you. Then reach out to someone who’s struggling and tell them, “Jesus is praying for you, and I’m joining Him.”

00:00:01.175 --> 00:00:07.956
There's a quote from the 19th century pastor Robert Murray McShane that really hits home with me. It goes like this.

00:00:07.956 --> 00:00:30.957
If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies. Yet distance makes no difference. He is praying for me. Just think about that for a second. What would change in you if you knew right now Jesus was speaking your name before the Father?

00:00:26.836 --> 00:00:30.957
It's a good question, right?

00:00:33.802 --> 00:00:59.482
Welcome to Daily Devotions for Busy Lives. I'm Bart Leger, and for the next few minutes, we're going to look at a truth that can change the way you see your struggles. Jesus is praying for you. When something's got you rattled and your faith is shaky, even if you don't know what to pray, Jesus hasn't stopped praying for you. And if anyone knows what you need, it's Jesus.

00:00:59.482 --> 00:01:09.162
Luke 22.32 says, But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail.

00:01:04.962 --> 00:01:41.567
So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers. And Romans 8.34 reminds us, Who then will condemn us? No one. For Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us. I know about you, but that's pretty awesome. The risen Jesus right now interceding for you before the Father. And that's not wishful thinking. That's Scripture.

00:01:37.668 --> 00:01:52.408
Jesus told Peter, I have pleaded in prayer for you. And Romans 8 tells us that he still intercedes or pleads for us from the Father's right hand. Think about that moment later on in Luke 22.

00:02:01.918 --> 00:02:15.997
And yet, before Peter ever fell, Jesus had already prayed that his faith would not ultimately fail. Jesus was praying for Peter even before he messed up.

00:02:10.978 --> 00:02:27.578
Jesus didn't just pray that Peter would be perfect. He prayed that Peter's faith would endure. And it did. When Peter wept bitterly failure, those prayers were still holding him.

00:02:24.717 --> 00:03:07.677
And when Jesus restored him on that shoreline later, his prayer had already paved the way for redemption. maybe, maybe, you've been where Peter was. You said you'd never stumble, or you'd never doubt. And yet, here you are, wondering if your faith still counts. The enemy whispers,"You blew it! God's done with you!" But Jesus says, "I have prayed for you." That means your relationship with God doesn't rest on your performance. It rests on His persistence. Even when your prayers are weak. He's strong. Even when your faith is running on empty. His intercession never stops.

00:03:08.538 --> 00:03:17.288
McShane was right. If we could hear Jesus praying for us in the next room, we'd never fear again.

00:03:12.348 --> 00:03:24.647
But we don't need to hear it to believe it. It's happening even It's happening even now. You're not holding this together alone.

00:03:20.687 --> 00:03:30.228
Jesus, the Savior who died for you, is praying for you right now. Let that support you today.

00:03:30.228 --> 00:03:55.031
Rest in the fact that Jesus' prayers never fail. Here's today's challenge. Before you begin your day, take one minute and thank Jesus for praying for you. Let that truth shape your outlook today. Then, think of someone who's struggling, and let them know "Jesus is praying for you." And "I'm joining Him." You never know how much hope those simple words might bring.

00:03:56.080 --> 00:04:04.360
Lord Jesus, thank you for praying for me. When I feel weak, be my strength. When I'm uncertain, steady my faith.

00:04:04.360 --> 00:04:35.115
Thank you that even when I fail, you never stop interceding on my behalf. Help me rest your prayers and extend that same grace to others today. In Jesus' name, amen. Thanks for joining me today on Daily Devotions for Busy Lives. Remember, even when you feel things are beyond hope or that you've really messed up, Jesus is praying for you right now. Come back next time for more encouragement to help you live grounded in God's truth.

00:04:35.115 --> 00:04:38.415
Until then, God bless, and have a great day.
